A 1-1 mentoring partnership for consultancy owners with 5-15 staff and revenue between $500k - $1.5M.
Together, let's steady your pipeline, simplify your delivery, and do more of the work you love - without simply working longer hours.

Most consultancy owners I chat to describe pretty similar challenges:
1. Inconsistent pipeline.
Some good months; some lean months. The feast and famine cycle is stressful - especially in payroll weeks.
2. Stressful delivery.
Projects depend on you personally. Even though you've got talented staff, you still feel the weight of every project.
3. Working too hard.
It's really hard to turn off that work-brain, even when you know you should! You tend to work really hard for your team and clients... sometimes too hard.
If you were larger, you'd have a Board of Directors to help you stay on strategy, but you're too small for that.
(And let's celebrate that smallness; it's a strength.)
However, without a strategic partner, it's easy to fall into the trap of working really hard for your business, your team and your clients - without seeing the benefits for yourself.
If we're not careful, the years can speed past us, and we find we've built the wrong kind of business.

In 2018, I joined as the first-ever employee of Business Lab, a community engagement consultancy.
After coming on as partner a year later, we tripled revenue and grew to a 6-person team. Our podcast reached the top 10 in its niche and we had a blast.
Along the way, I went deep into what it takes to lead a profitable, fulfilling and impactful consultancy. (Lots of failed experiments...!)
Now, I love working with consultancy owners who want to make a similar shift (with a few less failed experiments).
While this isn't a cookie-cutter programme, there are a few consistent elements.
1. Strategy
We begin with a big-picture strategy conversation. Ideally, we get you out of the office to reconnect to your vision for the business.
2. Plan
Next, we create a 12-month roadmap and agree on a first area to focus on.
3. Implement
We then meet monthly to keep you connected to your big-picture strategy. (It's so easy to lose sight of it when you're busy with clients.)
4. Improve
Every quarter, we celebrate progress and tweak your focus, so your growth (whatever that means for you) stays aligned with your goals.
Big strategic planning session: In this longer session, we step back and think bigger about where to take your business.
Monthly coaching calls: Here's where we problem-solve together. If we need extra sessions, we make them happen.
Tailored tools: When you need them, I can share my templates for proposals, projects, IP development, sales, marketing etc... You don't have to reinvent the wheel.
Guidance when you need it: Got a big decision to make? A tricky client situation? Not sure how to price something up? Stressing about a team member? I'm on call to listen, coach, and advise.
Super simple.
Expenses (such as transport, venue hire, and accom) are added on top.
All up, it's less than the cost of a part-time junior... and far more valuable.
Clients typically see measurable improvements within the first quarter:

There are a number of reasons why my clients choose me. These include:
Yep. My philosophy is that if you have to refer to a long document, then you don't have a strategy. You'll get a simple and visual document that'll keep you focused on the bigger picture.
My sweet spot is at the intersection of three things: 1) You're purpose-driven, not just profit-driven 2) You've got between 5-20 staff and 3) You're running a professional services consultancy or firm. If that's you, then we're away and laughing.
Of course. I’d be happy to connect you with somebody so you can hear what this looks like in practice.
Nope. Who's got time for that?
